Sniffin' penguin balls

I woke up this morning around 6:45. I hung out with mom and dad for most of the morning.

I played in my swing and I played in my room.

Daddy got out ANOTHER toy that they bought me. It's a penguin that I can sit up and bat around.

I hit it once and it came flying back at me. It scared me so bad I almost ruined my diaper.

Kitty wasn't sure that she like it either.

but that didn't stop her from sniffin' penguin balls.

Then we bonded over our mutual dislike of the penguin.

While I was playing with dad and bonding with kitty, mom was putting the finishing touches on our vacation next weekend. Next weekend I am taking my first trip to Disney World! They said I am going to see Mickey Mouse and eat breakfast with Pooh bear and friends. I'm so excited!

After that, they took me to grandma and grandpa's because they were going to an infant CPR class. Not exactly sure what it is, all I know is they didn't come home with any toys so I wasn't interested.

They picked me up and we went home and all of us took a 2 hour nap. After naps we went back to grandma and grandpa's for dinner. Mommy and daddy went to pick up Pizza while I played in my jeep.

We watched some college football for a bit but then I was bored so I threw a tantrum. The brought me home and put me in the bath. Then I ate and it was off to bed.

TGIF 08/29/08

Friday is finally here! This is also a long weekend so not only will I have mommy until tuesday but I will have daddy as well!



Today was a CRAZY busy day. I woke up bright and early this morning and hung out with Dad while he was getting ready for work. After he left, mommy and I got in the car and went to stroller strides. After working up a good sweat we went to visit Aunt Donna. She got a new puppy named Ozzie and he was sooo much fun. I've never seen a puppy before so that was pretty cool. I also pet and played with her other dog Madison (but don't tell Aunt Donna that I called her a dog, because she says it's her daughter).

We left there and went to Grandma Shirls. Mom dropped me off and grandpa Tan Man watched me while they went shopping. They got me some new bottles, a new stroller for Grandma's house and a really cool swing!


It's really neat because it clamps to the doorway and can be moved ANYWHERE!!!

I sat in my chair watching TV and then daddy came home.

Daddy and I played for a bit and then I took a nap.

When I woke up they took me out to dinner. We came home and I took a bath with Mommy. Then daddy took me and dried me off and dressed me. He combed my hair too (look at the volume!)


It was way passed my bedtime at this point, so I drank a little milk and went to bed. Tomorrow will be a good day with both of my folks!

The big Five-O

Yo, yo, yo my peeps what's up? You are reading my 50th post!! It seems just like yesterday I was making my first one. Time sure does fly when you have two people waiting on you hand and foot !
Anyway, today was Thursday, last day that mommy has to go to work for a while. The day was pretty standand. Hung out with Miss. Ashley and then went over to Grandma Shirl's. On Thursday's Grandpa Tan Man is there too. So I hung out with them and we tracked Hurrican Gustav and kept an eye on the new Tropical Storm Hanna.

Daddy came to pick me up and I was like "Let's go, I'm ready!"

He loaded me up and took me home. We played for just a few minutes and I fell asleep. I woke up when mommy came home and they decided to feed me Peas. I was very helpful and showed mommy right where to put my peas:

After I ate it was off to the bath. Dad and I splashed for a bit and it was off to my room. Mommy put my night hat on. Did I like it? Not so much!!

I barfed on my outfit so they had to change me. After my change, I practiced on my drum some more:

I ate my bottle and I was off to bed!

Feeling a little better

I was feeling a little better today....but still not 100%. I did learn something new though. I learned that if I am really cranky for Miss Ashley that Daddy will leave work and come home early! Yesterday he did just that...we played for a while and then we took a mega nap together for 3 hours!!

Today was a pretty normal day. I woke up with mom and dad at 6 am. After mommy kissed me goodbye and went to work I played with my toys for an hour. I got so tired playing that I laid down for a nap. I woke up an hour later because I had made a mess in my pants.

After pushin' a turd I was hungry so I scarfed down a bottle. Miss Ashley got me all dressed and ready to go for a walk and we got outside and it started to drizzle. That made me sad, so I got cranky again. Miss Ashley tried and tried to calm me down but I wasn't having any of it. I screamed and screamed but it just wouldn't stop raining. So I finally gave up and went to sleep.

When I woke up daddy was home and we hung out for an hour until mommy got home. We ate dinner (I had sweet potatoes!")

After dinner I needed a bath. After getting all clean I went to go and play in my room. So there I was minding my own business when a bully started picking on me. I remember what daddy told me about standing up for myself (anyone see the irony because I can't stand up BY myself?). So I had to show off my fightin' skillz!

She was quick, but I prevailed. Chalk it up, my official record is 1-0.

I was still a bit cranky but mommy was able to soothe me and feed me another bottle before putting me to bed. I missed my nap this afternoon, so hopefully I will sleep all night.

Not feeling well!

Sorry I haven't posted for the last couple of nights but I haven't been feeling very well. Mommy and Daddy said that I might be teething and if that is true and I'm going to be this fussy each time I get a tooth we are in for a long couple of months!

Today dad came home from work because I still wasn't feeling well. I felt better when he got here but still not 100%, so I am going to head to bed early again tonight. Hopefully I will be in top form tomorrow.

I slept in this morning until almost 8 o'clock and because of that we all went to breakfast together. I love when we have our little adventures together. Well if I thought breakfast was an adventure it's because I had no idea what was in store for us this afternoon.

After breakfast we came home and I took a little nap. When I woke up daddy explained to me that "we are men, and men eat meat!" I said "ok, but shouldn't I get some teeth first?" "Nonsense" said dad. So I looked outside to view our grill.

I declared "this will not do, I cannot learn to be a man cooking on that wimpy thing, we need to upgrade at once!"

Since what I say goes, we piled into the car and headed off to look for grills. Mommy suggested we try Target first because she needed somethings from there anyways. "Nonsense" said dad, "we must go to a MANLY store in order to find a Grill!!"

So we're turning into Target and we get a really good parking spot. We walk toward the grilling section and I notice dad is stopped and staring with his jaw wide open. I look over to see what he sees and there it was........50% off all grills!! (guess mommy knows what she is talking about after all). I asked daddy why he was crying and mommy said "it's because your father is cheap and a sale like this is like Christmas to him". "Oh", I said, wandering what the heck Christmas is.

We find a grill that we like and this baby is sweet! 4 burners, a side burner, two drawers, a bun warmer, and a granite side shelf. Dad grunted, mom rolled her eyes. "We'll take it!" dad exclaimed to no one in particular.

So we load that bad boy into the car (what's a hernia?) and bring it home. We get it home and drag it around to the back of the house. Mommy and I read the directions to daddy while he stared at 400 parts blankly. Mommy calmly tried to point a few things out but dad was not listening. He blew his top and said he could do it by himself. Mom rolled her eyes. We went inside, while daddy built the grill. Lunch came and went and still no sign of dad. I took a nap and still not sign of dad. Mommy and I went to the grocery store and still not sign of dad. Low and behold, 6 short hours later dad came inside and the grill was put together. We went outside to check it out!

After that dad was exhausted so we all laid down for a nap. Mom slept for her usually 1/2 an hour and dad and I slept for our usual 3 hours.

When we woke up it was grilling time! Mommy asked dad if he was sure he knew what he was doing. Dad rolled his eyes. He turned on the gas, hit the ignitore switch and...........

BOOOOOM!

No, I'm just kidding. It fired up without a problem. Dad grilled some steaks and corn and we had dinner (although I didn't get any even though the whole thing was my idea). After dinner we went and played on the bed for a while

Then I got to eat some baby cookies.

One of them I didn't like at first but then liked I liked.

After playing I took a bath and then played in my room. Mommy showed me a drum she bought at Target when I wasn't looking and I LOVED it. Look how good I play!

It was fun, now I just want to bang on the drum all day!!

After that it was time for a night cap (get it!)

Saturday, August 23rd 2008

I woke up this morning around 6 AM. Mommy got up with me this morning and we went to pick up breakfast. On the way home we stopped by Grandma Shirls to let daddy sleep a little bit longer. We went home around 8 to wake his lazy bones up. We all ate breakfast and then mommy said she was tired, so she laid HER lazy bones down for a while. I played with Daddy while she was sleeping, and then we made her something....look!:


I was so exhausted from making the frame that I laid MY lazy bones down for a nap. When I woke up it was back to Grandma Shirl's for a bit. Mommy and daddy had to run errands and it's just easier without me (what can I say, I'm high maintenance!!)

When they came back to get me they had TONS of new stuff for me!

They bought me a remote for the TV because I am always chewing on theirs!





I think it's broken though, because I couldn't get it to change the channel.

Lastly, they unveiled a new shelf (sensing a pattern here?) to put my stuff on!

After playing with all my stuff I took a REALLY long nap. I didn't wake up until almost 7 o'clock. We went back to Grandma Shirl and Grandpa Tan Man's house for dinner and to watch the Dolphins play the Chiefs in their preseason game.

We came home and I took a bath. I had to wait because mommy made the tub too hot the first time. So I posed for a picture in the mean time.

Ma and Pa surprised me with a new seat for the tub. They said that since I am getting so big and can sit up by myself, I can use the seat so that I can splash and play instead of just lying on my back.



When I was good and pruny they took me out of the tub and into my room for my usual ritual of PJ's, tummy time, mat play etc. But this time their was something different. Dad said he was tired of my "fountain of youth" always spraying him so he got me a Pee Pee TP.

It's appropriately embroidered if you ask me!!
