Sweet new ride

I got a sweet new ride yesterday....well, TECHNICALLY mom got a new ride but what's theirs is mine so I'm claiming it.  And you know what?  I earned it!  I went from riding in the back of a three row SUV down to a car and I know mommy wasn't happy about it either because she was always complaining about her car.  It looks like dad finally had enough and gave in (he's a stubborn one...he held out 3 and 1/2 years).  So anyway, talking dad into it should've been the hard part but actually buying the car was almost as much torture.  I try to be patient but here was the note I slipped to mom.

At one point I even took mommy's phone and started to text dad.  Boy was THAT a mistake....it turns out, dad is just an 8 year old trapped in a grown ups body.  Look at this junk he texted me.

I even took her out for a test drive to give it the ole' Dylan seal of approval.

When it was all said and done, mommy got a really nice SUV that I am going to be able to spread out in the back of on long road trips.  Congrats mommy!!  Better luck next time dad......

Squeaky Clean

Sometimes the best part of making a mess with friends is the clean up.  After swimming at Katie's house we all jumped in the shower for some good ole' fashioned clean fun.

New Furniture

After our move, I decided that I needed some new furniture and as luck would have it, the movers left some furniture behind for me.

It's been well documented that I'm a picky eater and by picky, I mean that I don't like to eat like ever.  If I had to choose a time that I was most opposed to eating (other than when I am awake) it would be right after I wake up, AKA breakfast.  My dad however, loves breakfast food....so sometimes I just suck it up and ask him if we can go and get breakfast.  I usually time it just right so that it works in my favor.  I've become really good at just spacing the food out and pushing it around my plate to look like I ate.  Plus, if I order milk to drink, they feel better about their parenting and will let me slather my breakfast in chocolate chips.  This is me putting on a brave face and pretending to eat breakfast to make dad happy.

Keep it together man, it's almost over.

Editor's update:  This little charade got me a new Xbox game! (man these guys are easy to manipulate)

I made the news!

Ok, so technically the story isn't about me but shut up I'm on the news and you aren't.  My PE teacher won teacher of the month and they filmed it during my special area time.  I'm clearly the star of the video but just in case you can't find me, I'm on the right in the Donald Duck Shirt and bright green shorts.

My baseball season is officially over.  We were the Rays and were 12-2 and had a great year.  The only thing left to do is to celebrate!!

In our new apartment we have a gym which is fun to play at.  The other day Katie came over and we played in the gym for a bit.  We walked on the treadmills and lifted some of the weights and also did some pull ups.

The Kitty Whisperer

This is my best furriest buddy.  His name is Teny and I have no idea where I came up with that name from.  He is a crazy little cat and scratches me sometimes by accident but he loves me so much and I love him.  Every morning when I wake up, he comes running into the room and cuddles with me and usually licks me clean.  Here is a picture of us from this weekend.

I'm a 3rd grader!

Today was the last day of second grade.  I was pretty sad because the last two weeks have been really fun.  I liked my teacher Mrs. Westcoat and my friend Gage that I met in my class.  I got straight A's again on this marking period and brought my reading level up to grade 5!

I'm sure I'll cheer up because mom and dad always make awesome summers for me!

Boys of Summer

As you all know I am a world class athlete known for both my speed and my intelligence.  This year was no exception as I just finished my baseball season.  We started off the year 0-2 and then rattled off 12 straight wins to be the league champions!  It was a fun year with a great coach!

Secret Powers

Many people don't know this, but I have a secret power.  No matter how cranky mom or dad is, I can cheer them up pretty quickly.  Yesterday, dad was having like the worst day ever and so I decided to give him his father's day gift early and he snapped right out of it.  My job here is done!



They are sunglasses and inside it talks about how much I love when dad and I go on Bro-cation (hint hint it should be about time to go again dad).  Then on the outside there is a picture of me and a picture I drew of us on bro-cation last year at the Nickelodeon hotel (that's a bucket of green slime on top of the water slides.)

Mom is home!

Mom was supposed to go away from Saturday all the way to Sunday but thanks to her unreliable heartbeat she had to cut her trip short.  She is on her way and will be here any minute.  I had a super fun bro-time with just dad but I missed mom a lot too.

I was so excited mom was coming home that I decided to bust out some of my moves!

All that dancing can make a guy tired so I tried my best to stay awake.




Then of course when she finally got home, I was so excited that I ended up staying up late anyway bouncing off the walls!!  My big mommy hug felt so good!!

Two weeks ago I went to visit Gram and DD in the Bahamas.  There are lots of fun things to do there and one of my favorites was throwing rocks into the ocean.  Check out the arm below!

I also like to go swimming and since it is the Bahamas there really aren't any rules there so I was able to do this at the pool!

Then after a hard day of doing all that I like to do a little fishing.

Baseball and Daddy Time

Mom went away this week to "the bottom of Florida" for work and so dad and I had the place all to ourselves.  So far we have gone 4 straight days having pizza for dinner but since it has been from different pizza places I think that counts as variety.  I went with dad to the gym this week and man is that stuff heavy!


Then we posed with our new muscles...dad still has some work to do, but I'm looking stacked!!



He also took me to go play some basketball and I don't want to brag but I'm a natural. Look at that form!!



Anyway, we had a baseball game last night and we weren't sure if we were going to play because it was raining.  It was against the Red Sox and they beat us the first game of the year but we beat them the second time.  This was it, the rubber match!  I played pretty awesome, I caught a fly ball, and also scooped up a grounder and tagged a player running to third.  At the plate I was 3 for 3 so I did all I could!  In the end, we won by one run which makes 10 wins in a row!!
